Heroes Speak Life

Hero.

Merriam-Webster gives a definition:

One who shows great courage.

If, this indeed defines a hero, then... I walk among giants.

I am in impacted by the men and women in my life who have ascended on high to overcome the mountains life has thrown them. Many have made it to the peak to proclaim victory over the battle, having fought hard and won. They define heroics.

While others, seemingly crushed by the avalanche of death and destruction, still proclaimed victory... They are the tried and true heroes.

What makes each of them a hero is not whether they won or lost, it was how they fought.

In the midst of their battle, they never wavered.

Their most useful weapon?

Their tongue.

They spoke life and they lived.

They spoke the promise at every turn. They proclaimed victory even when they couldn't see a way out or over.

Their faith went before their fight.

How do heroes learn how to fight?

They start on the playground of life; the everyday conversation.

This is their practice field. This is the place where it becomes natural to speak life, so when they face the battle... (and they will face it) they will be armed and ready.

Heroes have learned the power of speaking life, no matter the situation.

These are the one I choose to suit up and fight the good fight with!

I want to be a hero, do you?

Speak Life & Live.
